Tour of burgundy

Burgundy offers you a wide variety of activities; from its gastronomic and wine-growing heritage to its architectural patrimony, our region holds a great number of cultural attractions.

The Auxerrois and its vineyard

The Auxerrois is one of the most representative vineyards: with its world-renowned vineyard, the old city of Auxerre and its flagstone alleyways and timber-framed houses, but also the little towns of Irancy or Véselay, with their scatterings of old buildings and markets overflowing with products of the soil…

We recommend two tour itineraries to discover the Auxerrois and its vineyard at your own pace, depending on how long you will stay in Bourgogne.

Joigny and its surrounding areas

The Côte Saint Jacques is located at the heart of a city classified as “City of Art and History”: Joigny is one of Burgundy’s lesser-known jewels. While you are staying at our hotel, or enjoying a gastronomic pause at our three-Michelin-star restaurant, take the opportunity to visit this corner of Burgundy.

Cultural activities abound in Joigny and its surrounding areas. The Bailiff’s House, the Church of Saint Thibault and the Church of Saint Jean, the castle of the Gondi, the district of Saint André, all will delight you with their ancestral charm. Let yourself drift along the banks of the Yonne, to discover Joigny and its architectural heritage.

See our proposed tour to Joigny and its surrounding areas.

Chablis Country

Chablis: who doesn’t know, at least in name, this small city, famous for its great vintages? Viticulture has brought fame to this region of Burgundy, but Chablis’ cultural assets also bear on other areas. For example, the city boasts very old alleys, around the corners of which you will discover the Obédiencerie, cradle of Chablis wines, with its 13th-century press, the collegiate church of Saint Martin, the Christmas gate, the Saint Cosme priory…

From Joigny and the Côte Saint Jacques, leave on a discovery trip to the abbey of Pontigny, one of the most admirable Cistercian churches in France… Real wine-tasting cellars, true masterpieces of medieval architecture… the cultural riches of Chablis and its surrounding areas will never cease to amaze you.
