A SPA PRACTITIONER (M/F)

The Spa de la côte St Jacques, Jean Michel Lorain, Hôtel & Spa***** is looking for a practitioner in 39H CDI for its Spa by Jean-Michel Lorain.

Your main missions are the following:

  • The reception and the follow-up of the customers,
  • The preparation of the work station by respecting the factors of atmosphere,
  • Taking care of the spa's clientele,
  • The realization of aesthetic techniques of well-being, comfort, modeling,
  • Determine and practice treatments to meet their expectations
  • The advice and sale of products and services specific to the spa
  • Promote additional sales (Spa & Boutique)
  • Respect and maintain the hygiene of the spa (opening/closing of cabins).


Profile required :

  • Aesthetic skills desired CQP Practitioner required or B.T.S Aesthetic Cosmetic with body training.
  • We are looking for an invested, dynamic, smiling and passionate person with excellent presentation, neat and orderly. Professional, welcoming, discreet towards the hotel clientele and having worked in a five star hotel.

  • You like to give your clients a warm welcome and exceptional personalized service
  • You will work weekends, with two and a half days off during the week.

Kitchen chef de partie ( M/F)

Experience in establishments of the same category required
Level of education: 4 years minimum for the position of Chef de Partie.

The Chef de Partie must have the skills to :

  • Manage a part of the kitchen.
  • Work under the authority of the chefs de cuisine
  • Work in harmony with the rest of the team
  • Maintain the quality of the dishes for which they are responsible
  • Ensure the correct execution of recipes
  • Participate in the creative process if requested
  • Maintain impeccable hygiene at his/her post
  • Have good personal and physical hygiene
  • To have a good motivation and a passion for cooking

Experience in establishments of the same category required
Level of education: Bac pro or BTS with a minimum of 2 years experience in a company for the position of 1/2 Chef de Partie

The Demi Chef de Partie must be able to :

  • Work under the authority of his/her chef de partie and the chefs
  • Work in harmony with the rest of the team
  • Maintain the quality of the dishes he/she has to prepare
  • Respect the recipes entrusted to him/her

A PASTRY Chef de Partie (M/F)

  • Maintain the quality standards of the house
  • Participate in the creation process of desserts and petits fours

A SOMMELIER (M/F)

The candidate must have experience in other Relais & Châteaux in France or abroad or equivalent establishments

Be able to :

  • Manage the sommelier service of a 2* Michelin level under the direction of our head sommelier Thomas Noble
  • Work according to the quality standards of the house
  • Quickly learn about the wine list, wine pairings and the placement of bottles in the cellar
  • To propose cocktails if necessary
  • To work in harmony with the team in the dining room, the sommelier and the rest of the house, and to have a good attitude in a general sense
  • To be curious, open and dynamic
  • To have a sense of customer service and hospitality
  • To have a good life and body hygiene
  • To have an eco-responsible attitude and the respect of the products and the material
  • Speak French perfectly
  • Speak English if possible

The candidate must have previous experience in other Relais & Châteaux in France or abroad or equivalent establishments

The candidate must be able to :

  • Be fluent in French
  • Speak in English
  • Manage a row of several tables in the restaurant
  • Manage the service according to the quality standards of the restaurant
  • Give a clear explanation of the dishes served to customers
  • To work in harmony with the front of the restaurant team, the sommelier and the rest of the staff
  • To have a sense of customer service and hospitality
  • To have a healthy lifestyle and body image
  • To have an eco-responsible attitude and respect for products and equipment

A RECEPTIONIST (M/F)

The candidate must have experience in other Relais & Châteaux in France or abroad or equivalent establishments

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for the client and is responsible for ensuring a pleasant stay.

  • He/she welcomes the client, provides all information on the conditions of the stay, formalities, prices, hotel amenities, products and any promotions.
  • He/she ensures customer satisfaction,
  • He/she monitors their arrival and departure and transmits useful information to other departments.

He/she will have as main missions :

  • Ensure the physical and telephone reception of the hotel's customers
  • Carry out the check-in and check-out of individual or group clients according to the procedures in force and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information collected
  • Anticipate customer needs, respond to their requests, inform and advise them
  • Promote the hotel's products (restaurant, room categories)
  • Manage invoices and receipts
  • Communicate with other departments on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

  • With a background in hotel management, you have excellent interpersonal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Your rigor, your team spirit and your experience in customer relations are your assets.
  • Fluency in English is essential, a second language is desirable.
  • You have at least one previous experience in the field of Reception.

In the spirit of Formula 1 Jean-Michel Lorain is driving his team.
Without this pationnated team and rigorously trained, this race could not be won.

In Joigny, he has a team of 75 highly professional colleagues, first his wife Karine, who assists himwith passion everyday.
 

 
 

It is certainly either Lionel or Mourad, our valets, who will take care of your luggage and will install you in your suite on the banks of the River Yonne,

prepared by Astrid and Céline, our housekeepers who will have been attentive to the slightest detail.

Before that, the reception team, Amel, Alizée, Margaux, Leïa & Timotéo will have welcomed you and will be at your service throughout your stay to meet all your expectations.
They will certainly propose a booking at our Côte Saint Jacques Spa or indicate the places of interest to visit around Joigny.

Before your dinner, you'll certainly enjoy an aperitif in the summer lounge or by the fireside in the library-lounge.
Mathias Lemercier our maître d’hôtel, will take your order and advise you on the latest creations of Jean-Michel Lorain. During the course of your meal, you will meet the dining room team. 
 
The choice of wines is an important moment of the meal: they must be in perfect harmony with your menu.

Thomas Noble & his team will be in charge of this task. They will guide you expertly through the eight hundred references on our wine list.

Of course, the kitchen is directed by the master hand of Jean-Michel Lorain, who is firmly shouldered by Claude Leblanc, who has been chef at the Côte Saint-Jacques for more than twenty years,  and his second Alexandre.
Your meal will come to a sweet end under the hand of our pastry chef, Brice Béchard.
 

 
 

For a true moment of relaxation, you will be entrusted to the expert hands of Solène, Sofia & Mélanie for a Paoma & Equatoria treatment at our Well-being and Beauty space.
 
Finally, if you want to organize a family meal or a corporate seminar, Pâquerette & Melda will take charge of the organization of your event in its finest details.
